"While We Wait"

"The Waiting Game"

Well I knew she would go and quickly start taking pictures, just didn't think about how quickly she would finish the film.

She knew what the camera was thanks to the movie Bolt.
Photo From Walt Disney Studios

The Camera reads 10 photos but the package only had 8 and she has taken 7 so far.

I guess to make something clear... the film goes for about $20 and I'm cheap, there I said it....

I suppose I can buy her another pack of film for Halloween if that really is the last one but I guess we will wait. I know that this is not very Halloween-ish but I kind of had to explain why my posts are hit and miss.

So Ill end it with this,

Do you have any Halloween pictures/photos that you would like to share? Let me know

"Tell Me Your Worst Candy Nightmare"

"Let Me Know"

Right up above this post is a poll on a few of the worst candy that I have ever received in my reflective bright orange safety Halloween bag, you know the ones you would get at that mandatory safety assembly in the school gym/cafeteria when you were a kid. Well we are not talking about the bags but more about that one candy.. the one that quickly stole that twinkle in your eye the moment you dumped your bag on the kitchen table at end of the night. It was so horrible that you quickly lookup at your friends and hope that they didn't get a glimpse of it or else they'd make you eat it for a good laugh. Anyway here are some of my least favorites....

Cinnamon Mints
DOTS
Candy Corn                                                                                      Circus Peanuts

Take the poll for fun and share with us which ones you hated getting in your candy bags....

"Repairing Halloween"

The other day we were taking out the Halloween decorations we had our first casualty, one of our pumpkins did not survive the year long storage and was found shattered in pieces. Of course my wife’s answer was, oh just throw it away, I said nope! I’ll fix it. So I gathered all the pieces and got to work.

These were all the decent pieces that I could find, all the rest had turned into dust.

I also had to recreate one of his eyes as the pieces were to far gone.

Here he is all put back together, I would give all those kings horses and all those kings men a run for their money.

And Here with the first coats of paint, went with a bit more natural color.

"I'm the baby"

It’s funny how a child can change you, it’s not just that you grow up because you are now responsible for a human life but this child has made me a baby myself. Before I go on there will be Halloween in this post I promise, I find that every time I see a newborn I quickly think he or she is just adorable and that is not a word I use regularly or was ever in my vocabulary, also I find myself fighting back tears with every video I watch of a baby or young child in it...gosh huh…..wait “gosh” where did that come from.

But I will also do anything for this child…anything. When we watched the first episode of The Walking Dead there was a scene where a bad guy had a baby by the neck and threatened to harm her. I had the worst feeling on that scene and I swear that I would have done something bad to that guy I mean I was angry, sad, felt hopeless and it was just a TV show but if you have read my blog you know how much I get into movies and shows.

Then there is this…

I wasted no time painting my daughters bum so that my wife could make a bumpkin out of it. See this is in the Halloween spirit, even though I used my daughter as the butt of this joke…get it. HA HA.

We even attempted to take pictures of her in a pumpkin patch but this was the best that we could get out of her, she was more entertained by the grass as it was the first time that she felt it between her toes. I will say this, she kicked the crap out of the grass and we all had fun.

Oh and Daddy made that bow....yup!

1408

A film I have to talk about every Halloween season. This movie is based on a short story by Stephen King. Starring John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson. Cusack plays a writer who spends the night and then reviews supposedly haunted hotels and has him staying in various places, until his stay at The Dolphin Hotel...

I get lost in the movie so much that it feels like I'm there, very few movies that I've watched have this effect on me and when they do it's a good thing.

Whats your favorite scary movie?

"My Inner Child will soon have someone to compete with"

Don't get me wrong, I want kinds, its just that it really sunk in when we went to the docs office and I watched as a tiny little human moved around inside the wife's stomach, well not necessarily her stomach but you know. It has been 4 months now that we found out that we were going to add another Macias to the clan, and well so far so good. There hasn't been any surprises “yet” as I am still skeptical about what goes on in that body of hers. She has not had any morning sickness….cross my fingers….but it’s said that it’s different for everyone and I hope so, because the last time something like that happen…..well let’s just say it wasn’t nice. However there is one thing that I have noticed, I have to wait a good period of time before I take my boots off when I get home from work, because I as soon as I do she will say that she wants to go and see if they still have this baby thing on sale or she didn’t cook because she was in the mood for some type of food that just happens to not be in our pantry, I guess you can call those cravings but I don’t know what you call the other part where she goes out and buys stuff. I take it as it goes for now because I don’t know what to expect and also it really hasn’t entirely hit me yet.

There are a couple of books out there that help women kind of understand what to expect but nothing out there “that I know of” for the men going through this, so I will write what I experience these next few months.
