Day #9
 "I Got A Rock"

We watched this the other day and its been a long long time since I've seen it, I found myself remembering some parts but it was like I was watching something new. I liked this cartoon, it has a lot of memorable scenes that make it a great show and suitable for a Halloween tradition and should be watched every year.
As the gang get ready for Halloween night, Sally and Linus prepare to spend the night in a pumpkin patch and wait for The Great Pumpkin.
As they go door to door collecting candy someone gets a special treat
(you know who if you've seen it, if not watch it, it's funny)
One of my favorite scenes in the show was when Snoopy took on the Red Baron.
So I'll leave you with my last memorable scene and the hidden identity of the Great Pumpkin Himself.

Day #8 "Who You Gonna Call?"
This was and still is one of my favorite ghost/paranormal movies of its time, I believe that it was also the first ghost/paranormal movie that I ever watched. The toy line was awesome and as an adult I still want them, I'll probably just run around the apartment annoying the cats and wife trying to catch them.

The Movie was great, the special effects were cool and despite of the fact that this movie was technically released in June back in 1984 I will throw this in the lineup with a technicality because it has ghosts in it, also I remember getting scared as a kid when I watch this movie so yeah.
I do have a small cool(I think) collection of items of the Movie.

Yes that is a record album its a small collection like I mentioned but i like it.

"The Costumes
The Choices"

That pic up there is of the wife "she has a mask on" but as we were walking through the store i was wondering who buys all these random costumes of a basic clown or of an old man with a moving mouth attachment?

A demo by the wife once more.

I mean who goes and buys a Emo Girl mask?

I remember I once made my mom buy me a Freddy Kruger makeup set that you glued to your face with a matching glove and hat that was about $80.I ended up going as the Crow, I uses $3 makeup. Yeah sorry MOM.

If I remember correctly that was the last time I dressed up, I think I was in my mid teens and probably thought it was not cool anymore. You know I think that I do see myself dressing up in the future and scaring my kids friends, my dad did that a couple of times and it was funny as heck.

Day #6
How Did you carry your haul?
What did you stretch out in front of you when you knocked on the door and said Trick or Treat? Was it a bag, pillow case, that common pumpkin pail, or one of those cool McDonald's Buckets"

My first question would be....did anybody actually take a pillow case when they went out, and did someone actually dang near fill it up? I can remember going to a mandatory cafeteria gatherings in school that turned out to be a safety speech on what to do and how to be safe when going out that night. The only good thing that came from it was a Halloween goodies bag that was giving to you that included some Halloween stickers and reflectors to wear on yourself for protection and the bag doubled as a candy bag. Everything but the bag went onto the bedroom floor, all I wanted was a bag for my candy which was a decent size. Its been so long that I can't remember what I Preferred to use when I was a kid, but what I can remember was that dang plastic pumpkin basket that somehow made an appearance every year my parents would bring out the Halloween decorations.

I do remember getting one of these bad boys but I think it wasn't used because I didn't think it could fit all the candy I thought I was going to get. I don't know what happen to them  i probably just put junk in it, I have one from 2012 with Scooby Doo on it and its got junk in it......yeah.
So the question stands what did you use on your Trick or Treat nights or what do your kids want to use when they go out this year?

Day #5 Another Great Movie
"CASPER"
Now I will start off by "Not saying that Christina Ricci was my pretend girlfriend back then" because the comment I made about Sarah from Hocus Pocus didn't go to well with the Wife. All I can say is that I bet I was not the only one with a crush on her back in the day. Wait I better stop before these posts turn into movies i watched because of the actresses. No that's not why i watched it
besides that would most likely be her reaction to seeing me in person. This movie is another that hits close to home in the area of place, time and weather.....it was in the Fall, seeing all those brown leaves just made me feel all cozy inside knowing that it would be getting colder here soon and knowing rain would also be in the forecast just made it better. If you're like me you loose yourself in movies so much that when you watch a movie like this one with dark cool weather that as soon as the movie is over you look out your window and see that it's bright and sunny outside you get a little ticked off.....Right! Right!.....No? oh well just me i guess.

This movie is about a father and daughter pair that move into a huge house that is apparently inhabited by the worst ghosts imaginable not even the ghostbusters can eradicate them so they call a Dr. that can apparently talk to spirits to help them out. Who wants the ghost gone and why? Well your just going to have to watch the movie, its a good movie....Go grab the family, cat or dog or whomever and watch it.

Dan Aykroyd makes an appearance as his character
Ray Stantz from Ghostbusters.

It also stars Bill Pullman as Kat's father Dr.James Harvey, plus many more cameos of great actors of the time.

Halloween Countdown Day #4
"Candy Haul"
Well What can i say but I think that kids enjoy Halloween for the candy tho' i may be wrong. HA! yeah right hell when i have kids i think ill use them as an excuse to go out and get my own bag of candy, no i know what you're thinking I'm just going to take theirs....well yes and no i remember
Some of my favorite candy i just don't see anymore I'm not sure if its because i got to old to trick 'r treat or the fact that i just stopped eating candy in all. I stopped because, well I hate to say it but I didn't listen to my parents and didn't brush regularly, but i couldn't resist the dang candy. Some of my favorites were hard candy with something inside like the strawberry flavored candy wrapped in strawberry wrapper or that cherry flavored candy that had bubble gun inside of it, I bet you were like me and didn't wait to finish most of the outer candy and just crunched your way to the center. Those were just some of the candy that I hoped to see when I poured out my bag of treats on the living room floor at the end of night.

What are These?
While still on the topic of Halloween candy I will now talk about the stuff that I didn't want to see in my bag, that stuff some grownups from another neighborhood probably gave to kids that were not from their street. It was that type of candy that if you put your bag of sweets in the closet and forgot about it and found it when digging for whatever it is you are looking for but know you will never find, but instead stumble across the bag and the candy would still look fresh and edible.......but you won,t eat it.....will you?

Oh and for those that grew up in the south like me.......

this would have been the holy grail if found in your Halloween bag.

"Happy Memories"

Oh Yeah!  What was your favorite candy to get or hated to get? Let me know in the comments below.
